The purpose of the Holistic Academy is to establish and promote a cultural approach to education. This innovative educational program offers comprehensive services promoting the development and appreciation of social, character-forming, intellectual and artistic pursuits. The integral goal of a cultural education is to prepare students to meet the personal challenges of daily living as well as to provide an academic basis for growth. 
 
Learning at the Holistic Academy is a hands-on integrative approach and the joy of learning is strongly encouraged rather than the accumulation of facts. Teachable moments will be promoted to actively engage students in the teaching/learning process, developing  personal and collective responsibility. Students learn to appreciate life-long learning without external rewards and punishment.

Parents Today
Many parents today realize that simply learning about academic subject matter does not provide enough satisfactory skills to prepare young adults for the transition into the world today. Holistic education is designed to deliberately help children learn about the nature of society, themselves as individuals, relationships and values.

We recognize the home environment as the primary educational institution in a child’s life. The Holistic Academy offers an excellent supplemental (Enrichment Day) education for the unschooled and home schooled student.

Results of this integrative teaching style will be revealed through the maturity and confidence of students in leading successful and happy lives.

Guidelines
Holistic Academy is a cultural center for children. There are no grades or grade levels. The  projects/ classes/workshops are aimed at both more advanced and less advanced skill levels. Informal evaluations constantly go on between adults and students and between the students themselves. Applicants are accepted according to vacancies in their age group and sex and upon completion of a two-week trial visit.

The School operates: from 9:30am – 3:00pm, Monday - Friday. Contact the school to learn how to become involved regarding the school, enrichment classes and/or summer programs.
